Who we are

AMP IT UP Holiday Programs provide participants from the ages of 5 – 12 with the opportunity to develop their sporting skills and be active, while making new friends in a safe and fun environment.

AMP IT UP Holiday Programs are run in partnership with some of Australia’s leading sporting organisations: Hawthorn FC, Fremantle FC, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars and Melbourne City FC. Our programs are available during school holidays and provide a dynamic 1 or 2 day program to develop participants’ skills in soccer, AFL, basketball, netball or cricket.

AMP IT UP coordinators are experienced and qualified teachers (registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching) with coaching staff studying in the sport and recreation industry through the SEDA program

AMP IT UP Holiday Programs offer an engaging and active environment to ensure that all participants have the opportunity to develop their sporting skills. We provide this by offering holiday program ratios of 1 coach to every 10 participants. This creates an engaging learning environment which caters for mixed ages and abilities.

Partners

AMP IT UP continues to build on the existing relationships between SEDA’s state sporting partners to provide participants with a unique experience and the opportunity to be involved in the latest games and activities on offer within each specific sport.

  1. Highly Engaging – All activities promote maximum participation.
  1. High Coach to Participant Ratio – Group ratio of 1 coach to every 10 participants.
  1. Quality Workforce – All of our coaches are qualified SEDA teaching staff or studying in the sport and recreation industry.

Coaches

AMP IT UP coaches

All AMP IT UP coaches are industry qualified SEDA students and they have delivered hundreds of programs alongside SEDA’s elite sporting partners and clubs.

An integral focus of the SEDA experience is community involvement. In 2014, SEDA delivered community-focused participation programs to over 300,000 individuals nationwide.

The focus for coaches is delivering activities that encourage a high level of involvement, maximise participation and are inclusive.

Coaches ensure they:

  • Deliver a broad range of activities
  • Focus on skill development and individual improvement
  • Provide attention to all participants, not just those with the highest skill level
  • Promote cooperation, teamwork and fair play during activities
